Supporter Spotlight Focus

The Albany Cumberland Community Events Center wants to give special recognition to our Donors, Sponsors, Supporters and Volunteers; without whom, none of this project would be possible.
Each month, our Homepage will display such a person or company.
Supporter Spotlight
Cumberland President
We want to thank Joel Orton for stepping up as our Board President. We asked him to share something about himself that most readers wouldn't know. He was a good sport and did a light hearted write up for this spotlight, in the spirit of Spring! Read it here.
Enjoy a chuckle and thank him next time you see him for his dedication to the Cumberland project.

Presenting Past, Present
We were presenters for the Friends of the Albany Library! Thank you for inviting us. A lot of people joined us and great questions were asked. We support the Friends of Albany Library and noticed a log of new services have been added! What a great time we had.
ANNE Albany Boys and Girls Club today. Come down and get to know your nonprofits! Ask questions, share experiences, get involved in a good way! Thank you to the Albany Boys and Girls Club, Ilyn Wynn, Holly Ryan, and Holly Bollman, presenters and everyone that attended or contributed! Just a few of the many people that made the event happen. Thank you to everyone involved.

A lot of great people doing their part to make a difference. A Huge Thank you to the Willamette Valley Nonprofit Summit board members, the volunteered speakers, Valley Nonprofit Summit board members, the volunteered speakers, the caterer, and the YMCA and the Willamette Valley Jaguars for creating a place to learn and be inspired! Let’s do this again!
On January 16th, 2026 after being in storage for 13 years and 9 hours the Cumberland Bell is back where it belongs. H Wallace Construction, Harris Wallace, his brother, his son, and a friend and member of the crew made history today! It was a complex job that took creative thinking, patience and caution is done. Thank you from all of our hearts at Cumberland Community Events Center!!
February
We had the privilege of a visit from an Albany walking club with the ambitious name of the Silver Sliders! It was fun and everyone had a lot of energy and enthusiasm.
