The National Daughters of the American Revolution, DAR, has recently awarded a $10,000 grant to help stabilize and repair Cumberland's roof.

Santiam Chapter Regent Esther Hillary, with the support of State Regent Donna Dial, was a key player in the process.

Thanks to a group of hard-working, determined volunteers, the Cumberland was prepared for its move to the new site.  They contributed more than 200 hours over five plus weeks,  clearing the basement, installing protection on the windows and removing peeling paint from the exterior.

 Debris from the basement filled three 30-yard dumpsters. Salvaged items were donated to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore (the Cumberland’s new neighbor).
