Ann Boyce

I moved to Albany in 2008 and immediately became a CASA advocate.
As an advocate, I primarily worked with teens in early years, later I became a coach for new CASA advocates.
In addition to CASA, I joined the Citizens’ Review Board( with the court system to provide oversight of children in foster care) for 5 years.
I have been active in Kiwanis since 2012. My roles have been numerous. Some of the more memorable tasks are community outreach through inviting new speakers to meetings, promoting community service to fulfill our mission, volunteering and supporting Jackson Street, and coordinating trips for students to the US from Moscow and a trip to Moscow for US students.
I am very involved in Eastside Christian Church and current roles are with activities and on the Finance Team.
Molly Murphy

Having grown up in a historical farm home, I have always had an appreciation for old and historical buildings. I remember when I first moved to Albany, driving by the Cumberland Church before it was moved hoping the building would be saved and wondering about the people behind it. After moving into our first home in the Hackleman District, we met two of our neighbors who are involved with the Cumberland Community Events Center. After speaking with both of them about their involvement and the mission of the CCEC, my interest in serving on the board grew. I care deeply about our community and making lasting improvements and changes that will benefit everyone. I believe preserving and restoring the amazing building is just as important as having a safe space for community members to gather.
I have served on a number of Advisory Boards, currently am on Advisory Board for $tand By Me financial coaching. I have experience engaging with and giving reports to our County Commissioners and other nonprofit boards and have been an officer on nonprofit boards as well. My husband and I volunteer with Giving a Hoot and for veteran’s events.
I also have experience with event planning, catering, program development and assessment, and community outreach. I am affiliated with the Oregon Board of licensed Social Workers as a Clinical Social Work Associate and I attend the OSU Counseling and Psychological Student Advisory Board meetings.
I have many hobbies and special interests. Some of them are gardening, sustainability, reading, house plants, dinosaurs, and outdoor activities.
