Murder Mystery Brochure

Last year the Cumberland reached out to the Albany Option School program to see if they would be willing to build a shed for us.  The construction teacher, Gabe Diaz, was on board with this request.

Over the year, 6 of his students created a schematic design and built a wonderful shed for our property.  Four of his kids, took 2 days off from school along with Mr. Diaz, and assembled the shed.

At the end of  the school year, two of our board members stopped by to personally meet them and bring treats for a job well done.

It is people like Gabe Diaz that make the Cumberland project a success.

We are eager to complete the Cumberland renovations and invite the community to hold events. Please follow along on our journey and join-in by making Donations to help us open the Albany Cumberland Community Events Center soon.

Schedule a tour!

Interested? Email us at contact@albanycumberland.org a few days ahead of your preferred date, and we’ll be delighted to schedule a tour for you or your group. Join us as we breathe new life into history—hope to see you soon!

There continue to be surprises and challenges involved in the process, so if you like surprises and challenges, we have a place for you in 2025!

Are you 70½ or older?
Do you have an IRA?

If so, you can support the Cumberland with tax-free giving from your IRA.

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a tax-smart way to make an impact when donating to the Cumberland by allowing your dollars to go further.

Why Consider This Type of Gift?

·       The value of these gifts will not be counted as part of your adjusted gross income, so you will not pay income taxes on the amount directly distributed as gifts.

·       Keeping your taxable income lower may reduce the impact to tax credits and deductions, including Social Security and Medicare.

·       Beginning the year you turn 73, you can use your gift to satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
